Living in Northern Kentucky and Following both SEC and UK football for some time now I wanted to spread the news:
Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) – The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free agent quarterback Tim Couch on Sunday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Couch was the first overall pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 1999 draft out of the University of Kentucky. He played five seasons (1999-2003) in Cleveland, starting 59 of 62 games, throwing for 11,131 yards with 64 touchdowns and 67 interceptions.
After his release from the Browns, Couch was signed by Green Bay in June, 2004, but released prior to the regular season. The 29-year-old has been out of football since then due to a serious rotator cuff injury.
I read one man’s response after hearing this news “Somewhere Ryan Leaf is slugging a cheerleader” I don’t condone violence but I thought it was funny.
