Kel and I took her parents out to see Wall-E this past weekend.

Over all I thought it was very entertaining. Very cutesy. Think Short Circuit meets ET with a green spin -that’s the movie.

I’m not sure that if you took the Disney castle intro off the movie print you would even know that this was Disney.

I thought to myself throughout this movie-Was this movie made for kids ?

It just seemed a little heavier then – Finding Nemo Or Monster Inc.

The Environmental message was appropiate I guess -as we live in a “Think Green” world but it got me thinking.

Do I really want my cartoons to be pushing Green intiatives?

I’m not sure.

I can only hope that Kids find this flick fun – It’s for them right?

Overall I felt that I was entertained with a little story of a robot that helps humanity out.

Grab a ticket and enjoy Wall-E.

I do want to note that – I think the first words are spoken only after about the 30minute mark is reached which didnt bother me but did seem to bother Kel.

7th Heaven by James Patterson

bookSo I recently finished this book 7th Heaven by James Patterson -no this is not those Kids on fox family channel.

In fact it deals with Patterson’s Women Murder Mystery Club. Overall I found the book pretty good -some elements I saw coming far away and some really caught me off guard. If you like Patterson and the fast pace read then I would advise you to give this a try.

Here is a brief synopsis from Amazon:

At the start of the gripping seventh Women’s Murder Club thriller from bestseller Patterson and Paetro (after 2007’s The 6th Target), San Francisco is still haunted by the disappearance of Michael Campion, the much-adored teenage son of a former California governor, three months earlier. Following up on a tip that Michael was last seen entering a prostitute’s house, homicide inspector Lindsay Boxer and her new partner, Rich Conklin, are shocked when the hooker immediately confesses that Michael, who had a heart defect, died during sex and she disposed of his body. Lindsay’s ADA pal, Yuki Castellano, is sure she has a slam-dunk case, but the trial soon takes a bizarre turn. Lindsay and Rich also scramble to track down a serial arsonist responsible for murdering a string of wealthy couples. Lindsay races to put the pieces together before the fires hit too close to home. In true Patterson style, the reader is privy to Lindsay’s thoughts as well as the killers’, ratcheting up the suspense an extra notch. Fans won’t be disappointed with the twist at the end that not even Lindsay sees coming.

Good Reading,
