So I watched Heroes last night and it was centered around HRG dude, Noah Bennet. I thought it was an OK episode. No real big revelations about Noah other then he may or may not be a good guy. I wanted more Sylar but no such luck. The big revel wasn’t even that good… “She’s alive Matt” -who cares -doesn’t anybody die on this show.
On a side note – A friend of mine was talking bout his recent visit to Toy R Us with his boys. He brought up a good point. If you were not familar with Heroes and came across the HRG action figure -what would a kid think?
“Look Mommy a Nerdy guy action figure to go up against my Joes and Transformers.”
What about a Matt Portman action figure – “Look a portly cop like action figure in plain clothes that can do stuff with his mind”. If that doesn’t scream hours of fun I don’t know what does. At least HRG comes with a cell phone (Can you hear me now?) and a gun which he could properly fend off “Spawn” or some “Yugio” character that might be picking on him.
Enjoy your TV watching -and watch out for the Nerd Dude Action Figure.

So I recently started to play this and all I can say is “Great game!”
I did find fault with one thing; say good by to your loved ones because you’ll be consumed with this one for some time.
It’s like a time traveling device – Turn this game on and instantly you’ll see 2am.
The game is really great -Think Madmax with some other cool stuff mixed in. I find myself just playing for a little while and then telling myself that’s enough.
If you enjoy a little RPG and FPS rolled into one then you are sure to enjoy this game.
See you in the future.

I just watched the latest episode of Heroes and 24 and all I have to say is:
BLAHHHHHH!
I can’t shake off the flatness that is the plot and character development of these 2 once loved shows.
I think these writers and creators are really just dialing it in. Its sooooo much of the same – Get some original ideas that haven’t been done to death already. I think they go to the local comic shop and just steel ideas.
Stop making everything so linear – Take some hints from Lost, Damages or BSG and tell a story thats more complicated than A to B to C- IE -now the Heroes are going to be hunted and they must work together to survive.
It’s just not that interesting any more.
I think I’ll go read a book.
Updated 2/9/2009
I did begin to read a book – the new John Grisham “The Associate” -review to come later.
Regarding leaving 24 and Heroes – I’ve come to the realization that there just isn’t a lot of good shows on. So regardless of my thought I should stick with it.
PS – If you want some good TV – check out BSG – it is really good – even if you take the Sci-Fi element out of it.
